Why I hate when adults tell kids to follow their passion

I firmly believe “follow your passion and you’ll never work a day in your life” is a lie. It is well-meaning but just like many generalized things, it doesn’t apply to most. Primarily because it really only applies to the exception, not the many. And in turn might be causing damage.
